My Grandma Marchant passed away in January 2010. One of the things that I inherited from her was a tin star shaped cookie cutter. My dad said that he used to help his mom cut out cookies at Christmas time this star cookie cutter is one that they would use.
Since it came into my possession in 2010, we have used it every year as our Christmas tree topper. ?
I don’t tend to make very many cookies, especially ones that need to be cut out, so until today, we haven’t actually used the cookie cutter for it’s real purpose- cookies. But we decided to remedy that and had fun making Christmas cookies.
Both my dad and his sister said that they remember cutting out a lot of cookies every Christmas with this cookie cutter. They would make cookies and several other treats to take to their neighbors.
