Some people meet potential dates online. I meet sheep farmers. ? Through a homeschooling group on Facebook, I was able to connect with a woman that owns a sheep farm and she invited us to come see her farm and have some awesome and unique experiences.
When we first got there, we got to try some sheep milk. Until a few weeks ago, I didn’t even know that you could milk a sheep. Haha. It tasted pretty similar to cow’s milk. 🙂
After tasting some milk, we filled up some giant bottles with the milk and then got to feed some bummer lambs. This was my favorite part. They were so cute!!
Then we got to try our hand at milking sheep. It was definitely harder than it looks but the kids were pretty good for their first time! Landon, Porter, And Evelyn really enjoyed it and were definitely more natural at it than I was. Haha
After milking the sheep, we went back in the house and got to taste some more sheep milk products: yogurt, cheese, butter, and ice cream. They were all really good.
It was such a neat experience and we’re so grateful for good people. 🙂
