Saturday Adventure Campfire Lunch

This morning after we woke up, Jershon was determined for us to go on an adventure.  It has been raining so much over the past couple weeks so we haven’t been able to go camping.  Jershon wanted to scout out a place a little over an hour or so from our house to see if we could find some possible campsites for future campouts.  The plan was for us to have a campfire lunch there and then meet up with some friends at a nearby reservoir to go fishing.

Well, we drove and drove and finally reached the place where the campsites would be… only to find that our van couldn’t go on the roads because they were too bumpy and covered in large puddles.

We tried to drive to the reservoir but again, the dirt road was way too bumpy.

So we turned around.

We were pretty disappointed and getting hungry.  On our way back home, we discovered some other campsites that we could get to and were able to spend the afternoon eating our dutch oven lasagna, hanging out in the hammock, and catching lizards.
