Yesterday we had our 5th lesson for our Family Proclamation Unit: In the Premortal realm, spirit sons and daughters knew and worshiped God as their Eternal Father and accepted His plan by which His children could obtain a physical body.
We talked about how our bodies are special and why we needed to come to earth to get one. We also talked about the 5 senses and used all 5 of them with a fall theme…we smelled cinnamon scented pinecones, we touched pumpkins and bumpy gourds, we listened to some falls sounds (crunching leaves, rainstorms, falling leaves, etc.), we looked at colored leaves, and we ate apples dipped in caramel and drank hot chocolate.
We also talked about how we should use our bodies to create and not to destroy. The kids made clay creations.
