Campout #1 2019: Miner’s Canyon

Campout number 1 for 2019 is in the books! We lucked out with some great weather, an amazing view, and had a lot of fun. 🙂

This morning Roxanne kept saying “Can we stay here forever? … I want to stay camping.” It was pretty adorable. She got really upset when we were getting in the van to go home. She didn’t want to leave. When we got home she told me that the next time we go camping, she doesn’t want to come home. Haha. I don’t blame her. There is just something special about being outside and digging in the dirt. 🙂

Roxanne wore these shoes to all 8 of our campouts last summer. I thought it would be fun to keep them as a little momento for her. I got some new shoes for her this year and she broke them in at our campout last night. 🙂 I’m excited to see how dirty they get from all of our adventures this summer.

Started a new tradition this year. In January, I cut up our Christmas tree and saved the trunk to use as firewood for our inaugural campfire of our first campout of the year. 🙂

The moonrise was so awesome to see! The moon was so big and bright and it was neat to see it reflected on the lake.
