10 Years

Today marks 10 years of being married to Jershon. 99% of the crazy things that I have done over the past 10 years were Jershon’s idea that I (sometimes hesitantly) went along with. And 98% of the time, they ended up being awesome and I have been glad that I agreed, even if it was out of my comfort zone. 🙂 Life is never boring when you are married to an amazing guy like Jershon. He makes me laugh every day.

Here is some video evidence of me going along with Jershon’s creative, usually awesome, (and sometimes embarrassing) ideas. Haha.

Video 1: lip syncing to *NSYNC at our church Christmas party in 2014…complete with a choreographed (by Jershon, of course) dance. I bet you can tell who is the dancer in our relationship… and who is not. ??

Video 2: stop motion video in our living room in 2012. We were pretty exhausted after jumping a million times for the pictures. Haha

Every year for the past 5 or so years, I have put on my wedding dress on our anniversary, just for fun. Since this year was a special milestone anniversary, we had a little wedding re-enactment (which was nothing like our real wedding. Haha).

Jershon wore his dressy tunic (not sure the correct name of it) that he got in India for Ricky’s wedding. The girls loved dressing up as well and being my bridesmaids/flower (pineapple) girls/ ring bearers. The boys were not interested in dressing up for the momentous occasion. ?

We had a little renewal of vows ceremony (which I could not keep a straight face through), the exchange of rings, and a reception complete with dancing, “cake” (bread) to celebrate our family’s birthday, and a candlelit dinner.

I may go along with Jershon’s crazy ideas, but he goes along with mine (and even helps to make the idea even better) as well. He makes my dreams come true. ❤️
